Respected Prof. Dr. S S Bhakar is the Vice-chancellor of ITM University, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh). He is an experienced educator and administrator with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry.

Prof. Bhakar has guided one Business School to get NAAC 'A' accreditation, Autonomous Institute Status, UGC, Permanent Affiliation, UGC recognition under sections 2f and 12b, recognition as a research centre of the affiliating university and many more as Director and has contributed to achieving similar success for another B-School as senior faculty.

He is well known trainer in the area of operations management, Supply chain and research. Have conducted more than 60 research methodology workshops, 25 case writing workshops, 35+ Executive training programs, have been Conference Chairman for 11 International conferences and 18 national conferences and seminars, have delivered a keynote speech in national and international conferences and workshops.

Improvements in the Institute Ranking: The Institute has taken giant strides under his leadership and has been consistently ranked among the top 50 Institutes of the country by various ranking agencies. The Institute has been rated in the highest (Platinum) category by AICTE-CII for 2018-19. The Institute is ranked 16th among B-Schools of South Asia by Ed-Universal Selection, Paris for 2018-2019. The Institute has been consistently ranked among the top 10 Institutions of the country for BBA and BCA programs by various ranking agencies of the government. Conferences and workshops organized, Organized 9th international conferences, 14th national conferences, and 15th National Seminars as conference chairman.

Prof. Bhakar conducted 11-research methodology workshops and 15-case writing workshops organised by Prestige Institute of Management, Gwalior as the only resource person or main resource person faculty development programs conducted.

Prof. Bhakar conducted 45-FDPs on research methodology and 25-FDPs on case writing and case teaching method as the main resource person for various Institutions across the country and the FDPs conducted at Prestige Institute of Management, Gwalior. Consultancy and training programs.

Prof. Bhakar is established as a well-known consultant and trainer and has conducted in-house training programs for some of the most reputed organizations in the country such as Supreme Industries, Malanpur, Akzo Nobel Ltd. Malanpur, MSME, Gwalior, BP Foods, Vikrant Tires, Essar Steel, Eicher Motors, Syncom formulations etc. and have organized and conducted Executive Development Programs on ISTD platform.

Currently, he is guiding CBSE affiliated Schools in preparing for CBSE accreditation as a consultant. Have also been guiding industry clusters (Transformer and stone clusters) in obtaining ISO – certification, lean management and six-sigma. Have also served on the panel of advisors for the Quality Council of India and have evaluated the quality processes of 60 private ITIs and 50 Govt. ITIs.Publications: Have published 28 edited books as the first author. Have also published 79 research papers in International and National Peer-reviewed Journals and as chapters of books. Have published 40 cases as a lead author and 170 cases as a case mentor through the case centre (previously known as European Case Clearing House – ECCH), the cases have been purchased and used by some of the best Institutions across the globe. Institutions from the USA, Canada, England, France, Italy, Portugal, Australia, Turkey, Singapore, Dubai and many more have purchased and used cases developed as lead authors.PhDs Guided.

Thirteen scholars were awarded PhD degrees under his supervision, three candidates have submitted their PhD thesis and seven scholars are pursuing their PhD work from Jiwaji University, Gwalior under his supervision.

Conferences and Seminars: Have organised 11 International Conferences as Conference Chairman and 15 National Seminars as Seminar Chairman.

Keynote Speaker: Delivered Keynote speech on ‘The emergence of IoT/IOE and its effect on higher education business model’ in the Inaugural session of International Conference ‘ICPM’ organised by Association of International Business and Professional Management (Association Based in the USA), at Yogyakarta, Indonesia on November 16, 2019. In addition, have delivered keynote speeches at five conferences in India.
